As a part of this year’s Queensland Mental Health Week, our Community Development and Engagement Coordinator, Kel Smyth, joined the Ashgrove/The Gap Lions Club at The Gap Village Shopping Centre to connect with the local community. Kel spoke to residents about the importance of maintaining good mental health and wellbeing and reaching out when times feel tough.
Communify recently opened the Inner North Medicare Mental Health Centre in Lutwyche, where adults living in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital catchment can receive free mental health support. Whether you’re struggling yourself, or caring for someone who is, the Centre is a safe place to find help when it’s needed most.
There is no requirement for a Medicare Card or Mental Health Treatment Plan to access the Centre. Our team of clinical and non-clinical support staff, including Peer Service Guides, Psychologists, Social Workers and Clinical Care Navigators, are all here to help you take the next steps toward feeling better.
